NEWS : News of our cities...from UPI. (PHILADELPHIA) - Investigators are combing the woods on the border between Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio for the bodies of two college students. Three teenagers have been charged with abducting Aaron Land of Philadelphia and Brian Muha of Westerville on Memorial Day. The two students shared an off-campus apartment in Steubenville, Ohio. (WASHINGTON) - New York is again asking the Supreme Court to step in to save a public school district created for Hassidic Jews. In documents filed with the court today, the state asked the justices to overturn a New York Court of Appeals ruling that the Kiryas Joel School District in Orange County "has the primary effect of advancing one religion over others." The Supreme Court in 1994 upheld a lower-court ruling that said the district was unconstitutional, but the state contends that the latest version of the district complies with high-court precedent. (LAS VEGAS) - Police say a former Marine honorably discharged from Southern California's Camp Pendleton went on a shooting rampage that killed four employees and injured another at a grocery store in Las Vegas. Officials at Camp Pendleton say former Lance Cpl. Zane Floyd served four years in the Marine Corps before being discharged last July. He was arrested without incident outside the store early this morning after the deadly shooting spree at the Albertson's store near the Las Vegas Strip. (WASHINGTON) - A Justice Department study shows people in 12 selected U.S. cities including Los Angeles and San Diego have a high degree of "satisfaction" with local police. The survey released today also indicates that whites are more satisfied than blacks or other ethnic minorities with how they are served by law enforcement. The study shows that 86 percent of the people in Los Angeles are satisfied with police protection. In San Diego, the number is 93 percent. By Shirley
